The Myth of the Shop

I was once unemployed, searching desperately for what to do to earn a living. But in one of those moments of frustration, God gave me an idea — a business that later change my life completely.

It all started when I walked into a man’s clothing shop. I didn’t have the money to buy anything — but I had my phone, my determination, and faith. I asked the shop owner for the prices of some clothes, took pictures and short videos, and uploaded them to my Telegram channel.

Within hours, a few people started messaging me. I simply added my profit and the cost of waybill to the shop owner’s price — then I tagged it “Free Delivery.” That strategy helped me stand out immediately.

For the first five weeks, I barely sold anything. I thought of giving up. But something in me — that inner voice that whispers “Don’t stop now” — kept me going. I decided to treat my phone like my shop and my Telegram channel like my display window. That’s when things started changing.

Eight months later, I had made ₦12 million in profit, without ever renting a physical shop.
